This? is a group of? people? -- of your choosing -- that you can? rely on when you can't do everything yourself.? Sometimes it can be hard to ask for help, but friends and family? want to? do everything they can make you feel better.? ? Only you know what you need, so let your loved ones know how they can best support you. Your Cancer Team First, you may want to? choose a Health Advocate to? help research your type of cancer and possible treatment options? and? go through all of the new information you are receiving. You may even ask them to go with you to doctor's visits. Next, choose several people to help you manage day-to-day activities. These people can pick up kids from school or practices, go to the grocery store, cook dinners or take care of the laundry and other household chores. Finally, select your? Health Care? Team. This Team may include your primary care physician, oncologist, surgeon and nurse -- people who will guide your treatment and help you get the best possible care.
