More than 40 anti-angiogenic agents are being studied in clinical trials in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Some are being studied in combination with more traditional therapies, like chemotherapy, while others are being studied alone or with other targeted treatments. Researchers are looking at the use of these anti-angiogenic agents in many types of cancer, such as brain, breast, lung, ovarian, pancreatic and prostate.
